Red Meat and Cancer
Eliminate or eat less. How many have heard this popular doctor’s prescription? This has caused the popular “I only eat white meat” craze.
Red meat and diet changes what is it all about? Here is some info on why you should not eat it.
Research and studies have shown that it is associated with various cancers and diseases. Don't believe it? Just do a search on the internet.
Long-term consumption of large quantities is said to not only increase the risk of developing pancreatic cancer, but also colon cancer, hormone related breast cancer, and prostrate cancer.
It is also said to increases the risk of endometriosis in women and heart disease in women with diabetes.
Some of these diseases are thought to be caused by the chemical used to keep meat red.
Butchers may use synthetic dyes, to change the brown/grey color to make the dead flesh look fresher, while on display. Studies are said to have shown that these dyes cause cancer and other diseases.
Let’s not forget about mad cow disease (thought to be similar to Alzheimer’s and dementia in humans) and now foot and mouth disease.
